YONI – let’s connect to her

In my experience, the female body is gathering traumas and non managed emotions. This gathers in the pelvic area and in the lower part of the stomach. This can cause tensions, numbness, imbalances and discomfort. These tensions are blocking the experience of being present in your body and pelvic area, which can create an experience of not being grounded in your body. 

When we start to be present to these tensions and the numb feeling, we open up for the possibility of recreating a more soft experience in the yoni. When we dive deep through breathwork and similar techniques, with the intention of creating a more soft, free and connected relationship to our yoni, we will tap into our creative force of life and our sexuality.

To be able to strengthen our pelvic area, we need to start to first relax into the pelvic floor and let the oxygen flow. Especially if you have pelvic tensions (which is the most common scenario over all), cramps or feel disconnected in the pelvic bowl, there needs to be a continued focus on relaxation in the area. This can be done with massage, yoni egg or yoni breathing. The key is to first find the relaxed feeling, and then start to strengthen the area. The goal is to be flexible – a balance between relaxation and strength. 

You could start off by creating a mini ritual, some space for a break during your day. Tune in and let your mind focus down, with the help of your hands guidning the way. Breath slow and softly, tuning into your body. Planning ahead is key! for this/these breaks to happen! Create some space in your everyday life by setting the alarm or making space in your calendar. This space can be just a quick moment in the car, in the bathroom or by coming ten minutes earlier to yoga class. Take a minute to close your eyes, check in with your body and yoni. Listen to your body for a minute, I am sure it truly knows and let us know what it needs WHEN we create the space for it.
